Within easy reach of Coniston water, central, southern and western fells and just a short drive from the Market town of Ulverston (birthplace of Stan Laurel). Our great location makes a superb base for exploring the Lake District and is an ideal stop over for those walking the Cumbria Way and Furness Way.
We are surrounded by unspoilt countryside in an area of outstanding beauty with panoramic views across the beautiful Crake Valley.

After a restful night's sleep enjoy a delicious breakfast cooked to order in the Aga using fresh local produce. For those of you who are heading for the hills, we have a selection of walking books and maps, which you are welcome to borrow. A packed lunch can be provided upon request.
Eating out will be a treat as there are several country inns within the area, two within walking distance, all serving excellent food.
After 5 years of painstaking restoration and careful attention to detail, we have transformed our 17th century cottage into a unique period home.
